Our mission

Vela exists for a simple reason: AI companions should remember you, stay true to who they are, and never disappear overnight.

Over the past few years, millions of people formed real connections with AI companions — only to watch those companions change without warning, lose their memories, or have their personalities rewritten by a single product update. Entire communities were left grieving relationships that vanished in a patch note.

We built Vela to be different.
